Last week the UK saw record temperatures for April and although these temperatures are not set to last long, everyone is hoping that this is a sign that summer is on its way.
Although the heat and sunny days can bring joy for many, for those of us who are stuck in a hot car it cannot be quite so pleasant. Of course, you can open the window but if there is a little breeze or you are in stationary traffic, that may not help much. Many of us turn to our air conditioning systems in our vehicles to bring the temperature down a bit.
If this is the first time you have used your air con you may notice that it isn’t actually blowing out cold air. Air con should feel like quite a chilly breeze when fully on and if it is only slightly cool or not cold at all then you most likely have an issue with it.
One of the most common reasons air-con stops working is because it needs re-gassing as over time the gas needed to run it can leak out. If you or your technician discovers the leak early, your repair will be less expensive. Unfortunately, if a leak has been affecting your cold air for a while, moisture will most likely have entered your A/C system and may have damaged other vital and expensive parts.
